Biosecurity
To ensure our herd remains healthy, we disease test annually for CAE, CL, and Johne’s, and we take extra precautions by raising all of our kids with CAE prevention practices.

Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis (CAE)
We test our herd annually for CAE to maintain and ensure a clean disease-free herd.

Johne's Disease
We test our herd for Johne's disease to maintain and ensure a clean disease-free herd. We also complete periodic fecal PCR surveillance tests to further support herd health.

New Additions to the Herd
We implement a strict quarantine protocol for all new additions to our herd. Each new animal is tested for CAE, CL, Q-Fever, Johne's and Brucellosis. Each animal is also quarantined for a minimum of 30 days to monitor their health and ensure they are free from any potential viruses or diseases before being introduced to the herd.

Caseous Lymphadenitis (CL)
We test our herd annually for CL to maintain and ensure a clean disease-free herd.

CAE Prevention Practices
We raise all of our goat kids on heat-treated colostrum and pasteurized milk.

Show Sanitation Practices
We sanitize show pens thoroughly before and after use, ensuring a clean environment. Additionally, we create physical barriers to separate our goats from others, minimizing the risk of disease transmission and maintaining biosecurity throughout the show.
